2017 Scholarship Award
Daniel S. Matejczyk
The Alliance College Alumni Association Foundation is pleased to announce the recipient of the 2017 Scholarship is Daniel S. Matejczyk!
Mr. Matejczyk is currently a sophomore, attending the Ohio State University at Columbus; pursuing a Bachelor’s degree, majoring in Finance with a minor in Psychology. Mr. Matejczyk transferred from Xavier University after his freshmen year and maintained a 3.3 GPA. Post-graduation, Mr. Matejczyk plans to pursue a career within the financial industry and continuing his education to earn an MBA.
During his tenure at Xavier University; Mr. Matejczyk interned for the Athletic Department within the Finance Office, concentrating on the business aspect for both the men’s and women’s basketball programs. After transferring to Oho State, he accepted a Student Manager position working directly with the coaching staff of the baseball program; responsible for many facets of the day to day operations.
Mr. Matejczyk continues to be an active volunteer at various local non-profit and charitable organizations to include Sacred Heart Parish Food Bank, Knights of Columbus, the CYO, Youth Baseball and the LeBron James Foundation; working in the special needs and children at risk programs.
Mr. Matejczyk is the grandson of the beloved Professor Blair Matejczyk and son of David and Glenna Matejczyk; with his father a graduate of Alliance College, Class of 1980.
The ACAA Foundation, the Board members and Selection Committee congratulate Mr. Matejczyk as the 2017 Scholarship recipient and wish him continued success in his education and future professional career.
