Danville – Irene (Jutras) Paoletta, 71, of Danville, NH and formerly of Amesbury, MA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at the Portsmouth Regional Hospital.
Born on January 6, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Rodolphe and Frances (Somers) Jutras.

Born and raised in Amesbury, Irene attended Sacred Heart School and was a 1969 graduate of Amesbury High. After high school, she attended Alliance College in Cambridge Springs, PA, where she was a member of the Delta Zeta sorority and earned a bachelor of arts degree in history.

Through the years, Irene always made it a point to stay in touch with her friends and classmates from grammar school through college. After college, she accepted a position working for Mass Health, where she worked up until her retirement in 2014. Over the past few years, she worked part-time in the financial department at Lakeview House in Haverhill, MA.

Irene will forever be remembered as an outgoing, caring, hard working and generous individual to all. She was a New England sports enthusiast. She was passionate about making memories with friends and family while at the beach, camping in NH, and traveling the world. She always wanted to participate in life, not just observe it.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph Paoletta, of Danville, NH; her son Anthony Paoletta and family ( his wife Katie and their two children Olivia and Blake of Hudson, MA); her eldest sister Linda and her husband Kenneth Dean of Sebastian, FL; and her youngest sister Denise and her husband David Barnard of Amesbury, MA, along with many nieces and nephews.

Irene loved her family more than anything in life. Anthony, Katie, Olivia, and Blake will forever cherish the special moments spent during their family vacations with Irene, including Disney and Hawaii. Throughout their travels, she sought to inspire a love of traveling in her beloved grandchildren. She loved being a Memere and spoiled them whenever she could. Irene will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, Memere, sister, aunt, and friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Visiting hours will be Thursday, June 2, 2022 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Highland Chapel of Paul C Rogers Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesubry. Funeral Services and burial at St. Joseph Cemetery, Amesbury, will be private for the family.
