Walter Anthony “Papa” Wawrzynek

Walter Anthony “Papa” Wawrzynek, age 80, of North Tonawanda, December 1, 2022, passed peacefully after an extended illness.

A lifelong resident of North Tonawanda, he was a graduate of Alliance College In Cambridge Springs, Pa. and a longtime Tool and Diemaker for General Motors in Tonawanda.

Walter was also a proud member of the Polish National Alliance – St. Michael’s Society, No 395, PNA. He loved his family and children and enjoyed keeping busy in his spare time.

Beloved husband of the late Joanne M. Wawrzynek. Dearest father of Joseph (Diane) and the late Walter L. (Cheryl) Wawrzynek. Loving son of the late Joseph and Julia Wawrzynek. Devoted brother of the late Mary Karamanski, late Frances Pringle, and the late Jean (Bernard) Basiak.

Proud grandfather of Travis, Jeffrey and Lisa Wawrzynek.
