The Beta Beta Chapter of the Sigma Tau Gamma social fraternity at Alliance College in Cambridge Springs, Pennsylvania, operated from January 31, 1959, until 1988, when the college closed.
Sigma Tau Gamma has a WWI Connection as it was started by a group of World War I veterans who desired to maintain the deep bonds of brotherhood and camaraderie they experienced while serving together in France.
The six core principles of Sigma Tau Gamma are Learning, Integrity, Excellence, Leadership, Citizenship, and Brotherhood. These values guide the Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity in building noble generations of men who endeavor forward.
Fraternity Symbols & Values
The Knight: The depiction of the knight is historically integrated directly into the top portion of the Coat of Arms crest as a helmet. It symbolizes honor, chivalry, and the “noble generations of men” the organization strives to build.

Annual Traditions & Celebrations
Brothers of the Beta Beta Chapter famously built a chariot and pulled it roughly nine miles from Alliance College to Edinboro State College (home of the Beta Omega Chapter of Sig Tau) in April 1969.
